Annie Leibovitz is an American photographer born in Connecticut in 1949.
She began her professional career in 1979 in Rolling Stone magazine, where she would achieve her fame and lead her to work on Vanity Fair, Vogue and countless other projects. Leivobitz is well known for her portraits of famous world figures such as John Lennon, Demi Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, among others.
In 1991 she became the first woman whose work was exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC, and today she is the highest paid photographer in the world.
