Gail Ann Dorsey

Gail Ann Dorsey is an American musician born on November 20, 1962. She has a long history as a session musician, and is best known for her long tenure in David Bowie's band from 1995 until Bowie's death in 2016.


In addition to being a bass player, she occasionally performed lead vocals on "Under Pressure" as well as other songs with Bowie.


In the years 1992 to 1996 Gail was part of Tears for Fears. In addition to having these experiences, she has collaborated with various artists and groups such as Lenny Kravitz, Indigo Girls, Khales, Gwen Stefani, Seal, Susan Werner, Ani DiFranco, among others.


As a solo artist Dorsey has released three albums: "The Corporate World", "Rude Blue" and "I used to be .."
